The centres produce suspicious household invaders which turn their human inhabitants into robotrons. Your secondary targets are the various manufacturing and design buildings en route. The targeted centres have been code-named BEEB, COMM, APP, AMS and SIN. You will receive bonus points and an extra helicopter when you have destroyed a Command Centre. After the destruction of the final centre - you go to collect your prize for an assignment well done, a HAWK STAR CRUISER, Dreadnaught Class 4, and can't wait to test fly her. During your absence, the centres have rebuilt their complexes, and fortified their defences even more. Being from a long line of Mercenaries, you cannot help but volunteer your services once again... You will encounter all sorts of hazards: various robotships, volcanic eruptions, air cannons, missile launchers, falling meteorites, homing missiles, laser-beams, the mad bomber and the constant obstacles of petrified trees. May your trigger-happy finger twitch at the onset of battle. Your Craft You pilot one of the most manouverable helicopters yet designed, a LASER HAWK Class 1 model, that is outfitted with laser guns. To gain high manouverability, you have sacrificed carrying large amounts of fuel, therefore you must replenish your fuel tank often from the sky-borne fuel tankers. Your radar panel on the top right, signals your approach to the end of a Zone, warning you that a command headquarter is near. Special Function Keys Press OPTION to choose between 1 or 2 Players. Player 2 must use a second joystick plugged into Port 2. Press SELECT to choose between Level 1 to 4. Press 'B' to enable a practice mode for beginners, this will make your helicopter indestructable - however you will not recieve your prize after Zone 5 in this mode. To pause during gameplay, press the SPACE BAR. To resume play, press the SPACE BAR again. To turn off the sound of your helicopter, press the 'S' key. To turn the sound back on, press 'S' again. A helpful hint for those having problems getting far into LASER HAWK is that you can fire downwards at an angle giving you clearance to go over buildings and explosions.
